Should I Be Concerned About Toxicity After Having A Tampon Stuck For A Long Time?
hello,
I had a lodged tampon removed today at my primary care physicians office. I made the appt after noticing a foul odor that was unbearable. I am not sure how long I may have had the tampon stuck in there. My dr. successfully removed it however, she didn't mention the need for antibiotics or the possibility of toxic shock syndrome. Should I be worried about this? Also, is it normal to bleed and cramp after the tampon removal?
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Presence of foul smell discharge, bleeding and cramp could be due to infection present. It's advisable and recommended to take antibiotic staphylococcus.
Take care
