Shooting And Burning Pain In Left Side, Took Lantus, Noverlin, Tramadol. Could These Be Causing The Pain ?
I Have been having pain in my left side since the middle of july it sometimes is shooting pains and it hurts for clothes to touch it,it also burns like if it was sunburned.I take lantus, and noverlinR ,also amitiptylin 50mg,sertraline50mg and Trama-Dol-HCL50mg for pain.Could it be any of these medicines causing the pain?
The shooting pain that you are describing sounds like neuralgia or nerve related pain.
None of the medications that you are currently using are associated with causing neuralgia ,amitryptiline and zoloft are used to treat neuralgia.
There are different causes of neuralgia such as : complication of diabetes, (2) secondary to shingles (3)related to vitamin deficiency (4) trauma (5)alcohol use (6)autoimmune diseases (7)kidney or liver disease
You should consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation so that he or she could determine the likely cause. This would involve blood tests to rule out any of the conditions mentioned.
I hope this helps
