I took a uti test 11 days ago but I had just started my period. Leukocytes came out positive only. I decided to wait till my period was over to take another test. But my period has not entirety gone away? Today I took anotherst and again it came out leukocytes positive only. Also I ve been sick and with very bad lower back pain .
hi there, leucocytes in urine signify urinary tract infection and you need to get a urine culture and sentivity done and accordingly take a course of antibiotics.Low back ache could be due to uti or could be due to PID or any other postural problem. You may get an abdominal ultrasound done if your pain doesn't subside after taking antibiotics for UTI. Excessive handling of the genitalia should be avoided and it is good practice to pass urine befor and after intercourse. Excessive douching should also be avoided and drink plenty of fluids and maintain good hygiene. These simple measures may help to prevent frequent UTI in future.Take care
