Severly Inflamed Tonsils. On Antibiotics. Problem In Swallowing And Talking. How Can The Pain Be Reduced?

Hello my tonsils are severely inflamed and I am on antibiotics . It s been the third day and I have difficulty to swallow and talk. I wanted to know if you d suggest an particular position for sleeping because it hurts as well when I lay my head on the pillow, sleeping on the sides or the back. What can I do to reduce the pain in and outside of bed? Thank you for your help.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic,

The best way to reduce any pain and alleviate any symptoms is to get an injection done as soon as possible in consultation with your doctor.
In any case if you are not feeling better you need to take a throat swab for better treatment.

Hope this helps

regards

Dr Sriram Nathan
