Severe Migraines,blood From Right Ear

i have pretty severe migraines..they don t happen a lot but when they do they are bad. i am taking medication for them, but i can t take it all the time because it would make me dizzy and sleepy at school. i have a migraine right now and for the first time there is blood coming out of my right ear, the side of my head where the pain is mostly located. is bleeding from the ear a typcial symptom of bad migraines or is this something i should be really worried about? i ve looked online and i can t find any one particular answer...please help!

Hello, I am glad to help.

It is not at all likely that the bleeding from your ear has anything to do with your chronic migraines.

Many times, bleeding from the ear results from attempts to clean the ear canal, or remove wax.

You should have your ear checked by a physician as soon as possible, unless both the bleeding and the headache get better within the next day or two.
