Hi, welcome to HCM
In acute exacerbation of migraine you will need to follow some instruction
1. Take adequate rest.
2. Take some Non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs like Diclofenac sodium along with Prochlorperazine like antiemetic drugs.
3.If the above does not cure the condition, you have to take some ssedative drugs.
4. In chronic condition, cyproheptadine like drugs are useful.
5. consult with treating doctor for frequency and doses according to your physical profile.
Regards.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Treatment for migraines can be classified as preventive or abortive. Preventive migraine treatment is used reduce the frequency and severity of headaches.Abortive treatment is used to stop a headache that is already present.
You need to reduce exposure to the things that may trigger headache such as fatigue, lack of sleep, certain foods and medications.
Abortive treatment involves the use of medication such as NSAIDS (cataflam, ibuprofen, voltaren) or migraine specific pain medications in the triptan family which can be prescribed by your doctor.
Preventive treatment (stop headaches from occuring) are normally given if (1) headaches occur more than 2 times per month or attacks last more than 24 hrs (2) cause a major disruption in life with disability lasting more than 3 days (3) abortive medication not working or used too often.
If you fall into any of these categories then your doctor can give preventive medication

I hope this helps
