Redness In Cheek And Chin, Bumpy. What Could Be The Reason?

My face turned red on the lower cheek and abit on the chin. It started 2 days ago when I woke up and I don't know what to do. It's abit bumpy but it doesn't ich. At 1st I thought it was because of the acne creme because I recently switched to a new one and this one contained benzoyl peroxide and my old one had Salic acid so I thought that was the case so I switched back to my other one but it's not healing what do I do and if you can tell me why that happen that would be great

Hello,

Thanks for writing here.

It seems you have developed allergy to acne products.

Both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are strong exfoliants and can irritate the skin.

Do not use soap or face wash for few days.

Wash face only with cold water.

You can apply a mild steroid like hydrocortisone over affected area for few days.

Once your problem is solved it will be better to meet a dermatologist for further acne treatment.

Hope this will solve your problem.Take care.
