Red, Swollen Spots On Inner Thighs, Waist, Underarms, Groin. Oozes Bloody Pus. What Could It Be? Treatment?

I have red swollen painful spots that appear on my inner thighs, around my waist, under my arms, and on my groin. When I pop them it drains bloody pus and leaves a hole in the center. I never had them until I discovered I had pcos and gained weight. I don't know how to get rid of them. I put triple antibiotic ointment on them, clean them with alcohol, I have even poured a bottle of peroxide in my bath water. Nothing helps. They are extremely painful. When I first started my metformin they started to get better, but the metformin makes me sick so I can't take it. What are these spots and how do I get rid of them for good?

Hello
Welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Thank you for your query.
I am Dr Gaurav Patel,dermatologist.
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem.
It look like you have bacterial infection.
You need to apply good antibiotic cream over it.
Mupirocin will help you.
Please do not apply triple combination cream as it will increase infection.
You also need to take oral antibiotic and analgesic medicine.
Better to consult dermatologist and treat accordingly.
I hope I answered your question.
Wish you speedy recovery.
Regards,
I find this answer helpful
