Red Spot On Ankle, Severe Pain On Bottom Of Feet. Have Pitting Edema, Diabetes, High BP. On Diuretic, Metformin And Lisinopril. Heat Rashes?

i have pitting edema and diabetes, also high blood pressure. I take a diuretic, metformin and and lisinopril. I just took a trip to nyc and did more walking than I am used to. plus I wore socks and tennis shoes, which i hardly ever wear. two nights ago, i noticed a little red spot on the top of my ankle on my right foot, tonight i have red spots on both feet around the ankles. the spots don't itch, but i am worried about them. could it be a heat rash, or should I call my doctor in the morning for a check up? i do not have any other symptoms like fever etc.. oh, plus my feet hurt on the bottoms emormously...

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
You have diabetes, hypertension along with edema feet that suggest you should take more care of yourself. You should avoid overexerting yourself which can cause fluctuation in your sugar levels. It is possible that the edema feet along with red spots could be due to more walking than usual, it is better that you show it to your doctor to rule out any development of ulcer. Also check your urine for protienuria as you have developed edema.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
