Red Clusters On Leg, Cause Numb, Pain, Sensitive To Touch. Shingles?
I have 3 read clusters of read dots that appear to be fusing into each other on the left upper front side of mt leg causing numbness and pain. The pain comes in intervals and is extremely sensitive to touch (incl. clothing rubbing over it).
They appeared 1 week ago and I wake up at night due to pain. Warm water (shower) makes it better while cold (ice) makes it worse.
It does not coincide with symptoms related to shingles (no fever etc)

Red Clusters On Leg, Cause Numb, Pain, Sensitive To Touch. Shingles?
Hi, It seems that you are having herpes zoster, also called shingle. It is a viral infection caused by VZV virus. As you believe, it is not neccessary that you should have fever in shingle. The clusters of vesicles with burning pain in zone any where on body clinch the diagnosis of herpes zoster. Take antiviral like acyclovir in proper dose for 2 yo 3 weeks. Take pain killer like tramadol . Take steroids in tappering dose to prevent post herpetic neuralgia. Apply silver sulfadiazine cream. Take rest for 2 weeks. I think,You will be alright. I hope you got my answer, still, you may consult dermatologist. Thanks. Dr. Ilyas Patel MD
