Recurring Pain In Right Tonsil. ENT Says Ulcer On The Right Tonsil. Could Be Cancer ?

I ve had a recurring pain in my right tonsil all the way up to my ear the past 3 months. The pain lasts for 4-5 days and then usually goes away and comes back every 3-4 weeks. I went into the ENT and he said that I have an ulcer 2-3mm on my right tonsil. Should I be worried about this be a cancerous ulcer or could it be something else?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
This ulcer might be a simple aphthous ulcer, which is notorious for recurring.
But it needs simple treatment like maintaining oral hygiene and vitamin supplementation and some anti-ulcer medications.
If the problem persists, kindly go to your ENT consultant.
Its advisable to go for excision biopsy of tonsils.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
