Recurring Eye Infections, Sticky Discharge, Swollen Eyelids, Black Circles, Blocked Nose. Anything To Worry ?

hi,.
i hope that you are well.
I have been having recurring eye infections since early April... they are really bad with sticky discharge, swallen eye lids..panda black circles, pale face.it may be hay fever..or make up..although i have been very good with hygine...always washing my eyes well. My nose seems blocked too during most of these episodes.. I have taken antihistamine tablets in the last 3 days and it was fine but today I woke up again and my eyes are swollen.. i had a tiny tiny bit of make up yesterday... but never had issues with that nuntil this April when I developed an ulcer/sty inside my left eye and since then i Had about 7 infections ...smaller and bigger with eye drops traetments..5 day course treatment all completed. I get this hard little white spots as well which seem to stay .. the only other information is that I have been bitten by a tick 3 years ago and was treated for confirmed Lymes disease and now I am waiting for results just to see if its been cleared up or not. I had recent blood tests results and all were fine except for low iron. I had not had my urine tested but sometimes i get a very bad pain in my back when I wake up .
I am 39 years old, slim, generally ok! ..ie. no major illnesses. thanks

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,
All the symptoms you have mentioned here like sticky discharge, swollen eyes associated with blocked nose .... indicate recurrent infection involving the eyes and the upper respiratory tract commonly seen in viral infections or infections involving the sinuses surrounding the nose.
Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist to know the type of infection and source of infection and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
