Recurring Episodes Of High BP, Advised Amtas. Is This Medicine Safe Without ECG?

I have High blood pressure problem from last 4 days. It happens to me almost every year and lasts a day or two but this time I am having HBP for last 4 days with consistently 150/100. I went to see a docto at a local pharmacy and he suggested I take Amtas 2.5mg 1 tab daily. I would like to know if its ok to start this medication without doing ECG and other tests. I have appointment for these tests after 4 days. Is it ok if i start amtas now? or should i wait for the test results. Any advice would be really helpful. Thankyou.

You have high blood pressure, from last days, 150/ 100. usually last for a day or 2. It is always good to use anti hypertensives( amtas 2.5) or any. it has nothing to do with the E.C.G.and other tests. they are indipendent of the B.P. medication.
Hypertension in the begening will be there for few days , now it is extended, and next time it may be stabilised, and then you have to continue for ever.If you avoid salt, spices, junk foods, and oily foods the B.P. may come late.
