Recieved First Infusion Of Zometa. Drinking Lots Of Water. Passing Pale Coloured Urine During Afternoon. Reason?

I have received my first infusion of Zometa on Friday. It is now Monday.... I have consumed a large amount of water the day before infusion, day of infusion and day after. Presently drink plenty of water also, however it seems that when I wake up in am and if I take a nap in afternoon the pass urine, the color is very concentrated. At other times is ok....pale, almost clear. Is there a reason for this?

Hi thanks for usinh HCM.

Since you are taking Zometa, this may cause reduction in urine output. But you should always take lot of water to prevent any dehydration or reduction of urine output. If urine output is reduced or nil then consult your treating doctor immediately. At night you can get up in between to pass urine and drink water. Keep geting your Serum Creatinine and blood urea tests done along with Ca++ levels. Hope I answered your question. Wish you good health.
