Reason For Chest Pain While Inhaling?

Hi

I have a sharp pain in my chest, just below the heart cavity. It is sharp, stabbing, lasting 3 seconds then slowly goes away in the next 5 seconds. If I inhale, I fell the pain reacurring lightly. In a period of 3 hr it has accured 7 time tonight, every time dimunisioning in intensity. This may happen every 3 months for the pass years. This may reoccur for the next few days, Any thoughts?

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
I understand your worries, and want to tell you there are a few reasons to have such pain.
First is Intercostal Neuralgia, means pinched nerve in between the chest mussels.
In this case anti-inflammatory medicines (such diclofenac or ibuprofen) can help.
Second reason can be a lungs pathology, like pleuritis or other chest infection.
And third heard problem.
Unfortunately we don't have possibilities to exam you accordingly via net. But you can always see your doctor as an option. At least chest X-ray, common blood and urine tests and ECG should be done for the proper diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
After that you always welcome to revert to us with your tests results and we will more then happy to help you with your query.
With you a good health.
