Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Mastoiditis is infection in the mastoid air cells and collection of fluid within as a result of middle ear infection. It is important to know if you ever had any symptoms of ear infection like pain, deafness or ear discharge recently. This need to be discussed with an ENT surgeon. It may have occurred only recently and thats why was not reported earlier.
