Puffed Knee, Sometimes Painful, Sound From Knee. Had Undergone Lateral Meniscus Surgery. Is This Normal After 7 Months Of Surgery?

hi I've had a lateral meniscus surgery in december 2012 , and after a month i started to attend this sessions where i get my leg muscle electric charges. its been 7 months now and my knee is fine but a bit puffed and sometimes after playing soccer it hurts. When i stretch my leg i hear this sound in my knee like 'tzzz tzzz' , so is it normal even after 7 months of surgery ?

hello,
Thank you for choosing HCM.After surgery recovery time depends on the rehabilitation you have done after surgery.Your doctor will ask you to take complete rest for atleast 2weeks after surgery and minimal movements for 2 weeks. After that you need to have rehabilitation for months to get better.Afterwards you may still get pain and you need more physical therapy and even some times surgery is needed again.Consult your doctor first and have an x-ray done.Thank you.

hi thank for the query
since how many days did you notice theswelling and pain in the knee''
is it after rest or exertion,is their any restriction in the movements..

i suggest you to avoid severe exertion and work for the knee when it is sore and puffed .
consult your orthopaedician get it examined ,,give rest, take pain killers and improve the movt slowly and steadily to avoid any further damage
bye get well soon .
