Posterior Chain Lymph Nodes, Runny Nose. Tall, Not Putting Weight, Suggestions?

My 15 month daughter has tiny pea size lumps on her neck - our doctor says they are posterior chain lymph nodes and are nothing to worry about. She suffers from verdict runny nose almost all the time which is worse when teething. She is tall but quite thin for her age although she eats well. I am very concerned. Should I take her to another doctor for a second opinion?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. A runny nose may be due to various causes and infection and allergies are commonly associated with these symptoms. I also believe that you need to get yourself checked out by a local doctor who can take a history and do a physical examination to determine the kinds of tests that you need as well as prescribe the medications to help deal with situation. You may need imaging studies done and you might need antibiotics, however the doctor will prescribe the right ones after doing a medical examination.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
