If you are to get it, you will get it no matter what. If your immune system is strong, you will get a milder form, if not then severity of symptoms will be more. once the diagnosis is confirmed then antiviral medications will be started for you.

Pediatrician Dr. Kamlesh Verma's  Response
if u already suffered from chickenpox or already vaccinated against this by vaccine than there is very less chance of infection to u. if both of above situation not, than there is chance of infection to u. u can receive chicken pox vaccine within 5 days of contact as early as possible. u should receive 2 doses, 1 month apart.

Chicken pox is a viral infection that spreads through contact. If affects individual who are less immune to the infection. Immunity to this infection is developed by an episode of infection or through vaccination.

So if you have had this infection in the past or if you have been vaccinated against chicken pox then the chances of you getting infected with chicken pox is low.
