I m getting red bumps on my face...5-6 on the side of my cheeks..they are red painful..take weeks to go and leave a scar...i had taken iret 20. Mg two yrs back bt now the problem has resurfaced. I use deriva bpo gel on the acnes..my skin is oily and gets dark...i cannot find iret availble at any chemist..which substitute of oral antibiotic shall i use? Also which topical cream and face wash to use?
It seems that you are having acne vulgaris. As you know acne is multifactorial disease. Stress, dandruff ,oily food, milk, sleeplessness, sunrays..ect might exacerbate the disease. Try to avoid all factors which exacerbate the disease. Apply either clindamycine or benzoyl peroxide on acne lesions. And take antibiotics like azithromycine or minocycline for few months. Cleanse the face with salicylic acid containing face wash.
I usually advise my patients of acne vulgaris to keep patience and to reduce anxiety to get good results.
I hope you got my answer. Thanks.
