Pain, Swelling And Bruise In Elbow After Slipping On Ice. How To Get Relief?
My husband slipped on some ice two weeks ago, and fell on his elbow. It immediately swelled up quite large and he was in alt of pain the rest of the night. The swelling and some of the pain has subsided since then but he still expenses pain in it, has shooting pain through his arm, and has a large bruise covering his whole elbow. He claims that it gets worse at night and he wakes up from the discomfort. We would appreciate any input of suggestions. Thank you.
Thanks for query on HCM. Swelling indicates soft tissue injury followed by bruise formation due to collection of blood inside. You can apply ice 3 to 4 times a day.It will be helpful for initially 2 to 3 days. You have to start nsaid with serratiopeptidase. Intramuscular injection will be helpful to subside severe pain. Dont' lift any weight from that hand. Give proper rest to hand. It will subside with primary treatment. If swelling and pain persists then go for x-ray and consult orthopedician.
