I Have been having pain in my left side since the middle of july it sometimes is shooting pains and it hurts for clothes to touch it,it also burns like if it was sunburned.I take lantus, and noverlinR ,also amitiptylin 50mg,sertraline50mg and Trama-Dol-HCL50mg for pain.Could it be any of these medicines causing the pain?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As you are taking drugs for type 1 diabetes, anti=depressant drugs ( sertarline & amytriptylin ) ,pain killer tramadol ( habit forming drug). The complaint , mentioned in the query is not related to these drugs. This is a type of neuritiis ( neuropathy ) caused by long standing diabetes. In my opinion your diabetes ( blood sugar level ) is not under control . Get in blood for HBA1 C and upload all reports. Simple touch causes excruciating pain in diabetic patient. Also get an ultrasound of pancreas as in this type cases ( paper touch neuritis) usually disorder found in head of pancreas . Good luck. Dr. HET
