Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

With history of wheezing and pain You need to get examined by a physician. Localized pain and wheezing could be due to foreign body causing obstruction.
Wheezing all over chest could be due to allergic manifestation or lung problems
Examination for any tenderness over rib or X-ray for any fracture ofrib needs to be done depending on examination findings.
Consult doctor for further management.

Hope this helps you.

General & Family Physician Dr. Shafi Ullah Khan's  Response
Hello there!
Thank you for asking. it sounds like you have got respiratory tract infection with pleural membranes involement which explains chest tightness and wheezing etc. Headaches and vertigo/ dizziness also is because of it.

So all you need is some good bronchodilators (salbutamol) some proclorperazine / betahistidines for dizziness and some good anti allergics/decongestants and simple acetaminophen and you will be fine.

Good Luck

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Rakesh Karanwal's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

More information is required in order to pinpoint the cause of your problems.

However, from the brief information available, the possible causes are:-

* Spasm (transient sprain of neck + chest muscles) - a 3-5 days' course of anti-inflammatory drug + muscle relaxant will cure the symptoms.

* In the presence of a wheeze, a viral lung infection or upper respiratory tract is very likely. Cough or a sneeze can throw the said muscles into spasm. The above-mentioned drugs + anti-allergic drug will help.

A Chest X-ray should be done at the earliest to see for evidence of viral infection; or, viral pneumonia of right lung; inflammation of the inner lining of cavity surrounding the lungs; or, even a ruptured small bleb (congenital).

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
