ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

You need to take your mother to an ENT specialist for a proper examination. It could be just an infection of the external ear canal called otitis externa. This condition can be cured with proper removal of debries, antibiotics and ear drops. Let her not use hearing aid in that ear till she visits an ENT. Also avoid water from entering that ear.

Sreenivasan
