Pain In The Chest After Stretching. Pain While Breathing. What To Do?
Hi, 64 years old normally desk worker but have been dooing diy over last week 2 days ago I overstretched trying to reach something. Felt a sharp pain in my left chest region. I believe it is a torn / stretched muscle, painful to breath deeply (at the height of the deepest breath. Slightest exertion becomes painful. Uncomfortable to rest / sleep at night. Can you please advise what i can do to relieve this.
Hello, At your age, sudden involvement in DIY might lead to unaccostomed muscle contrastion and the muscle has gone into spasm I guess. Nothin much to worry. Please take an ointment containing a muscle relaxant and painkiller and gently apply over the region. A spray having same contents is also equally helpful.
Avoid doing painful physical activity for the next couple of days. You should get back to normal in 3-4 days. Take care
