Pain In Calf, Swollen Knees. Had ACL Reconstructive Surgery Recently. Blood Clots The Cause?

Hi, I had ACL reconstructive surgery 6 days ago. Over the last two days I ve started experiencing some pain in my calf . I m not taking pain killers any more (they re just too strong). My knee is still somewhat swollenI ve heard that blood clots can be an issue. Is there any way I can determine if I m suffering from blood clots. Any other thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Aaron

Your symptoms are consistent with a deep vein thrombosis or blood clot. The only way this can be determined is to have an ultrasound scan (doppler) of your calf.
