Pain And Swelling In The Knees Spreading To The Hips With Hard And Painful Movement.
I have had pain and swelling in my left knee and now in my right knee. The pain is so deep that I am now feeling the pain spreading to my hips. My knees also are stiff and swollen and it makes movement very hard and painful. I am 53 years old. Thanks.
Hello May be due to osteoporosis , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of calcium level in the blood . Vitamin D 3 deficiency may be the responsible for such pain . Osteoarthritis is the most prominent reason of such pain and swelling in knee joints , so get in blood as well C T scan of both knee joints. One more reason of such pain is rheumatoid arthritis so get in blood for rheumatic factor . In my opinion at once consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion regarding this disease. Good luck.
