Pain And Swelling In Knees, Ankles, Toes With Signs Of Arthritis In Hands. History Of Falling On Knee, X-ray Showed No Damage. On Anti Inflammatories. Help

10 days after a fall on my knee I experienced pain that prevented me from being able to walk as from last March. For a month I tried to rest it but the problem persisted. Having had X-rays and an MRI I was told there was no damage to the knee and to use an ice pck for the swelling, exercise the leg to strengthen the muscles above the knee and take anti inflammatory tablets whenever the pain and swelling flared up. 6 months on my progress has been slow and although I can walk I find the stiffness and difficulty in bending both knees now has slowed me down considerably especially when getting up from a sitting position. I am 65 years old, gender female, and have had from my father's side 2 of his siblings spend the last 10 years or so bed-ridden although the lived to be over 85. My weight is 73kg and my height 5.2 Please help me follow this up as I am beginning to get more aches and pains also in the legs leading to the ankles and toes. My hands also have started to show evidence of arthritis. Thank you. I am not able to pay for your answer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, it appears to be the defeciency symptoms, such as calcium and vit D but there exists the injury effect as well. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I to my patient with such pain prescribe Ofloxacin, antiinflamatories, and protiolytics for treatment of internal swellings. Then the defeciency condition is treated. Thank you.
