Osteoarthritis. No Pain Relief. Updates In The Treatment?

I have had osteoarthritis for 15 years +, and cannot seem to get satisfactory pain relief: I live on a cocktail of medications, physio, but am, to me at least getting worse. The main factor that is getting me angry is the lack of REAL sleep, waking every 2 hours to re-position, and can only sleep with medications such as valium, Prozac, and endep, which is an un-natural sleep, and hence feel, not only sore and stiff, but drugged and foggy in the morning, and all I want to do is go back to bed and sleep, sleep, sleep. I am frustrated with my life as I have always enjoyed working, with the outside interactions, but am now un-reliable as I don t know from one day to the next how I am going to feel. OA is hereditary in my paternal side with two aunts suffering greatly, and some of my siblings have a small degree of same. Can you give me any up-to-date news for me to mention to my rheumatologist/gp? Thankyou

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
In addition to the pain killers that you are already taking, you need to add joint lubricant supplements to your daily schedule for proper relief. You also need a good anti anxiety with less hangover effect.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
