Open Sore Near Thigh. Applied Peroxide And Ointment. Itching Bumps. Help

I have and open sore right in the middle of where my thigh and lower stomach meet. It's a little bigger than an average thumbnail. I don't know how it happened. I put peroxide on, ointment, & a band aide on. The next day I took off the band aid. It seems to slowly be forming a scab, but I noticed that where the bandaid was are spread out little bumps. And a few more spread across my thigh. Now my thigh iches. & some of the bumps around the open sore are peeling... I would really appreciate if you could help me out here?? Thanks

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Appearance of bumps in the region where that bandaid are applied could be due to irritation due to the material of the bandaid.
Allergic reaction can occur against a number of substances and materials.
Allergic reaction manifests as redness, itching, bumps, hives, etc.
Discontinue the use of that particular bandaid.
Peeling of the bumps can expose the underlying skin surface and lead to infections.
Application of antibiotic ointment can help.
However, clinical examination is required to look for any evidence of infection.
The bumps could be due to primary skin disease.
So, clinical examination is required for examination of the lesion, performing relevant investigations and thus plan management.
Consult your doctor for further work up.

Thanks and take care
