On Antibiotics For Tooth Infection, Started With Itching And Whitish Discharge. Have Papillary Thyroid Cancer And Swollen Vagina

Hello! I have been on heavy antibiotics these last couple weeks due to a tooth infection. It started with itching and a whitish discharge, I thought it maybe an yeast infection except there was an fishy odor? I then used vinager on a wash cloth and cleaned my vagainia, which caused redness, burning while urinating, and skin peeling. I have terminal papillary thyroid cancer and went through early menapause in reading stuff on the websites I notice I have several side effects related to vaginosis? It hurts while intercouse, due to being dry, always have a discharge after intercourse, which has a fishy smell. My vagina is swellon, fat looking all the time, maybe due to getting older or vaginosis? I dont know if I have a yeast infection, and irrated with the vinger, although the discharge had a fishy smell? I now think I may have Vaginosis since I have not been sexually active since December 2012. It has ben a few days since I used the vinger, now no discharge, or fishy odar, now just redness, the first couple days I had burning while urinating, this is now gone, I just have redness, itching and thin layers of skin peeling. Although my vagina looks fat, and swellon for a couple years now. I dont know if I am driving myself to so much anxiety thinking I could have vaginosis or to have some STD for several months and not knowing or just having a yeast infection from the antibiotics?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
As you rightly pointed out that you may likely to have both yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis.
Prolonged antibiotics and drugs given for thyroid carcinoma will precipitate yeast infection and the itching and redness are due to yeast infection. Fishy odor suggests bacterial vaginosis. Appropriate investigation will confirm the diagnosis.
Application of vinegar also likely to produce vaginitis, redness, swollen vulva and skin peeling.
Appropriate anti fungal antibiotics both topical and oral route for 3 weeks duration will cure yeast infection. Tablets Metranidazole will cure bacterial vaginosis. your partners also to be treated for yeast infection which will ensure a total cure.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
