On Thyronorm75. Having High BP Sometimes. Having Scanty Sleep At Night. Due To Medication?
I am 66 years old and since April 2009, I have been taking thyronorm75 because tsh being 16 in that time .however later ,on subsequent tests tsh remained in the range between 1and 3. Apart from that bp escalates sometimes and as high as 170/100 has been observed and also I get scanty sleep at night . Is it because of thyroid medication.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. If you have some other symptoms suggestive of this medication toxicity like palpitations, sweating, rapid heart rate, loose stools, irritable, anxiety, etc, then it would be nice to evaluate this treatment. Also, your doctor may want to step down the dose a little and see if there is any change in the blood pressure, and other reported symptoms. That not withstanding, hypertension is not always caused by drugs but should be considered in your case.
