Hello
There is nothing which is called as any stage in the diabetes.Diabetes is generally either insulin dependent or non insulin dependent.your doctor has started oral anti diabetics medicine in you and it's response will be seen in following days.
You seem to have been diagnosed diabetes recently.
Normally a person remains well controlled on diet control, exercises and oral medicines for a sufficient number of years.
Once the effect of oral anti diabetics wears off, then patient is controlled on insulin.
Medicines given to you are all right but you must be vigilant enough to keep your sugar levels checked up regularly.
Keep a regular date with your doctor.
Thanks
