Need Medication For Frequent Migraines & Nosebleeds

My 16 year old daughter is frequently getting migraines and now nosebleeds . She has already been to her doctor and has been to the hospital and was given a chest X-ray, c- scan , EKG, blood pressure and everything was fine . We even took her to her eye doctor and got her new glasses . All I m told is to give her ibprophen or Tylenol and saline for her nose . She is still having headaches and nose bleeds . Is he was on medication for add and had to be taken off until we figure out what s going on . But she also has depression and axienty and can t go on any medicines until we see a neurologist . But this is all effecting her in school and I m just worried about her .

Hello!
I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
Migraine attacks can be associated with nose bleeding. As you refer all the tests have resulted normal, so other secondary causes of nose bleeding have been excludes.
In this situation I would recommend to start on a prophylactic therapy to decrease the frequency of migraine attacks or their duration.
In her age I would recommend to begin initially treatment with propranolol , which has shown to be very effective in young females with migraine . It has a good effect also in anxiety. It should be started slowly, to avoid side effects like low blood pressure and bradycardia.
Another drug of choice would be an antidepressant like paroxetine or escitalopram.
Hope to have been of help!
Thank you for using HCM!
Greetings!
