Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of echocardiography is as follows:
Overall the heart is dilated and there is evidence of ischemia or reduced blood supply to the cardiac / heart wall.
The left atrium is dilated or increased in size.
The valves of the heart are also diseased showing back flow of blood. There should be only forward flow of blood, however, the blood is flowing backwards.
The right ventricular function is also impaired.

The management of the condition is focussed at improving the blood supply to the cardiac muscles and repair of the heart valves.
You need to consult your cardiologist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja P Wahal
