My wifes son had his whole pancreas removed a couple

My wifes son had his whole pancreas removed a couple of years ago. He was taken to the hospital in a diabetic coma with a blood sugar of 1400. After a week he was discharged and seemed to be acting normal. We were gone for about two hours and since we came home he seems wired. Keeps walking around, not thinking clearly. He normaly wears a percet patch, he also takes some pills by mouth I think. From what I read nomaly it woukd cause you to be drowsy not wired.
