My Pulse Rate Is Always About 120 To 135 Beats Per Minute, Please Suggest Me

Hi, I am a 47 year old female. My pulse rate is always about 120 to 135 beats per minute. I have a doctors appt. coming up shortly. Will he put me on medication for this? What else could be wrong? My mother and sister have high blood pressure, cholesterol, and this rapid heart beat also and take medication for all of them. Does this run in familys? Thank you

Hi.. Pulse rate is governed by variour physiological/psychological factors.  Hence the cause for high pulse rate would have to be considered before the treatment is began.. A few of the conditions that can cause rapid pulse rate does run in families. Hence only after a cause is known a doctor can comment on this... So discuss with your doctor regarding this...
