My daughter has a bruise with a lump underneath on her chest . Whay could it be? Hello! About a month ago, I noticed a bruise on my 3 month old daughters chest just above her left breast. I didn t know how she got it but it seemed to go away quickly. Well 3 days ago I noticed it again & it has a lump underneath. What could this be?

Has she sustained any trauma to that area. If yes, the bruising and swelling could be due to bleeding under the skin due to problems in blood clotting. Other possibilities could be chest wall swellings. It would be best to get a complete work up after getting her examined by the Paediatrician to rule out the same and get appropriate management.

Hello, welcome to HCM. It could be due to any trauma she has suffered on that area. Bruising and lump could be a result of that. You must not ignore it and tae your child to your doctor for proper evaluation. Wish your child good health.
