My 71 Year Old Father Has Had A Coronary Stent

My 71 year old father has had a coronary stent inserted 10 days ago. It could not be inserted through the groin and instead he had to be opened up below the rib cage. What should his recovery look like? He complains of pain in his side, inability to sleep and is struggling with bowel movements. Is this normal?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that this is does not matter either the stent being sent from the femora artery or through the brachial artery in either case the healing time would be the same and this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps you have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
