Muscle tightness on abdomen right side lower quadrant. Any suggestions
Hi, my stomach gets tight on the right adominal side when I sit down-it eases when I stand up-but when lying down it becomes stretched from sternum to naval on the right upper side. I have seroius REflux-my doctors says I had a colonoscpy last year and endoscpy-plus CT scan so its nothing-but its becoming very tight on the right side and sitting is near impossible
welcome to the health care magic forum, you haven't suggested your age ,height ,weight and since how many days you are suffering from this complaint, always provide this information as it provides good response.
anyways ,since your investigations are normal as you said ,if you are over weight ,then you might be having compressive effects due to the abdominal obesity .
i suggest you to avoi9d wearing tight jeans or trousers and have a regular morning walk for at least 40 mins .
take care and get well soon !
Hi,thanks for query.I can understand your trouble but your PCP is right,it is nothing but the bloating due to gas.Take light diet, small diets about 4-5 times in a day,do not over eat.plan your meals properly.Avoid sleeping for at least 2 hours after meals.Go for small walk after dinner,as it aids in digestion.Avoid food with peculiar tests.Have more fibre in your diet which will help in this. You should also look for stress and anxiety, some times this also can lead to worsening of problem.bye.
Dr P, I can understand your answer-its the same as my PCP-but what i dont understand is everytime I peat anything it turns to acid straight away. i have had more problems since increasing Fiber- so I was advised to stop it. I eat very little now and have exercise regualry. Even an Appple will crease me in pain. I have had muscles spasms since I had the swine flu jab 18 months ago-and the only medication the PCP can give is Diazepam for them. I do walk and excersise when I can. The PCP trots out Anxiety-he did this two years ago-but it was an actual haert attack.
I am of the opinion, most PCP will say gas and bloating-but where does it come from overnight. If I drank alcholo or Smoked or was overwieght- I would understand. My deit is very light- no meat/ chicken only fish- no acidic fruit, or dairy products- not spicy food. Many thnaks for your reply Dr P.

How do I determine if I have kidney stones or kidney infection? I have pain on the right side (stomach and back area). I also feel like going to the bath room a lot. The pain in the stomach area feels like someone is squeezing me real tight (pressure wise). I don t have to terrible pain, but its uncomfortable right now. I also just had blood drawn on Saturday and have the results back from that.

For the last few months Ive been having symptoms of GERD , thats what my PCP is treating me for. I told him I have pain on the left side just above my clavicle in the hollow area. He felt to see if I have any swollen lymph nodes and says I dont. Now the pain has spread to my right side, and feels like it is in my collarbone towards my sternum and Im having bad pain in my chest just below collarbone on right side. At its peak I feel bubbling. Any idea what this could be? It is not relieved with any pain killers.
i had an aaa test and was negative- pulsation is visible on chest/abdomen left side- i have psoriatic arthritis, had endometroid cancer, mass successfully removed in 09. pcp feels no swelling in area, could this be a gastric thing? also lately have had losartan doubled due to increased b/p-
Started with Azithromycin for cough, immediately broke out into blisters on hands, feet, back and finger tips. Went to PCP who issued methylprednisolone and amoxicillian. Four days later returned to PCP, who referred me to emergency. Now have blisters and oozing finger tips, some fingers turning purplish black.. Bottoms of feet have blisters and have sever blisters popping up on body..
I am a breast cancer survivor. I have had a pain under my right rib cage for two months now. Gastronomic said it was a pulled muscle. PCP ordered ultrasound and bloodwork. I am not overweight but labs showed elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. I do not have a gall bladder. Ultrasound showed discrepancies in liver. Had a Ct scan of liver a week ago but have heard nothing back yet. This morning I felt a knot under my rib cage towards my back. My PCP s nurse told me that my liver appeared fatty on the ultrasound. What could this be?
