Missed Sprintec Birth Control. Have Spotting. Had Unprotected Sex. Should I Worry?

My name is Linda. I am on sprintec Birth Control. I missed a pill on 4/19/2013 (Third row of pills). Then on 4/20/2013 I took my pill late and did not double up. On 4/22/2013 I spotted brown blood until 4/29/2013 and started spotting red blood for my period (Period pills started 4/27/2013). Today is day 3 on my period and still only spotting usually heavy by now. Is there anything to worry about? I was sexually active on 4/20/2013 unprotected?

Hi Linda,
Missing pills and having unprotected sex is always a risky business, things can easily go wrong.
but thankfully in your case they havent, since you've had your period after having unprotected sex, it means you arent pregnant, if you were pregnant, you wouldnt have had it.
Brown coloured discharge is usually because of left over endometrial tissue from your last cycle.
If you are still worried, take a home pregnancy test, it should be negative.
Do try not to miss the pill in the future, its risky business.
