MRI Shows Disc Narrowing With Anterior Spurring. What Does It Mean? Have Sore Neck

i had an MRi at the VA. I received only the report in the mail with no explanation. I am 65 years old. The report said at the C5-6 there is moderate disc narrowing with anterior spurring. There is a 2.5mm of retrolistheseis of c5. Broad-based posterior osteophyte and more focal central disc herniation and/or osteophyte complex which indents the ventral thecal sac and midly indents the ventral spinal cord in the midline.
At C6-7 there is moderate disc narrowing with anterior spurring. Small broad-based left paracentral disc protrusion-osteophyte complex indents the left ventral thecal sac and midle indents the left ventral spinal cord.
I am sure they did not mean to send this to me because I don't understand any of it and cannot get an appt for at least a month and my neck is veery sore.

Hi,
Your report shows that there are massive osteoartheritis change in your vertebral column.
Your present problem is due to these changes.
You are advised to consult Spine specialist for examination and plan of treatment.
Meanwhile you may take over counter pain relief medicine.
Avoid weight lifting, bending forward,
Sleep with hard bed.
Ok and take care.
