Lump On The Neck After An Injury To Head. MRI Report Shows No Concussion. Is This Serious?

My husband was assaulted over a week ago. He protected his head with his hands and his hand was badly swollen and bruised. An MRI showed no head concussion . Now, a week later, he has a large lump on the side of his neck . It is painful if he talks too much. Could this be related to the head trauma? He is 57 years old.

It doesn't seem to to be associated with head injury,It is soft tissue injury at neck.Still it needs rule out laryngocele, just see if it increases in size if he inflates a ballon. If not then it will subside gradually.
