HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Varicose veins occur commonly as persons age.

They occur because the valves in the veins, that normally work to direct blood towards the heart, are not working well.
This causes blood to build up in the legs.

Treatment mainly involves keeping the legs elevated as much possible. IN addition there are stockings that been used to compress the legs.

This encourages blood to get back to the heart , reduces the swelling and discomfort.

I hope this helps
