Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It appears that your son is having a viral infection. I would suggest that instead of giving syrup Asthalin which is for bronchoconstriction you should give him a decongestant syrup to take care of the sneezing and cough along with paracetamol syrup to control the temperature. Asthalin can be started in case the doctor finds wheezing in the chest.

In case diarrhoea has not been controlled by enterogermina then a stool examination should be done and medicines changed accordingly. You may give him buttermilk, lemonade and coconut water to prevent dehydration.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
