Leg Below Knee Getting Thinner Than The Other. Feeling Pain While Folding. Given Phisiotheropy Treatment. What To Do?
My 9 years daughter's right leg below knee is getting thinner than left one.she cannot fold it.on folding towards thigh she gets pain just back the knee. She has been treated by bone doctor and given phisiotheropy treatment too for 15 days regularly on advice of that doctor.but no improvment seen.another neuro doctor treated her.no test is taken except an xray.piracem syrup is being given since last 25 days with calcium syrup.there isno improvement yet. What should i do? I am confused. Please suggest me.
Your daughter's right leg being thinner than the left side indicates Atrophy of the muscles on the involved side. This will be due to some neurological compromise or due to some neuromuscular disorders.
A few investigations like Nerve conduction studies, Electromyogram and muscle biopsy are essential in establishing the proper diagnosis.
I suggest you to consult a neurophysician for further workup and management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
