Laser Uterine Ablation, Essure Done. Not Having Periods At All. Any Chance Of Getting Pregnant. Will IVF Help?

I am 36 and had a laser uterine ablation and Essure done 2 years ago. I am not having any periods at all. I have had 2 successful healthy pregnancies and vaginal deliveries prior to having these procedures. I was told before the procedures that I had an abnormally thick uterine lining. Is there any chance that I could get pregnant? If so, what would I have to do? Would IVF be a possibility? If I am not able to carry a baby due to the ablation then would they be able to harvest my eggs for a possible surrogate birth mother to be inseminated?

Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic,
As you are aware that essure causes inability to conceive by blocking the tubes, so
you cannot get pregnanct in a natural way. IVF could be possible, but as you have done laser endometrial Ablation also, embryo can't be implanted in uterus. In very few women, little endometrium can regenerate, or if left untreated, then there could be possibility of pregnancy, but there would be high complication rates in pregnancy. For your chances of getting baby by surrogate mother, is possible if your ovaries are functional and producing eggs. Usually when we have to use this method, we give ovulation stimulating drugs to produce 3-4 eggs, to increase the success of pregnancy. So it is a possibility. If you are really very keen to have pregnancy, do not delay, as with increasing age, and specially interrupted normal menstrual cycles, Ovaries slowly stops functioning too. But you need to be counselled very well about the low success rate of the procedure.
