Large Red Bump On Vagina After Having Sex. Should I See A Doctor?

Hello. My boyfriend and I were getting into it. He was eating me out and it felt like he bit me. Now I have a large red bump on my vagina . It s next to my clitoris and around the lip. I have put some ice on it to lower the swelling and it hasn t worked very well. What s going on? Is this a big emergency? Do I need to be taken to the er?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your history, the swelling you mentioned could be Bartholin cyst.
Bartholin gland lies near the vagina. The secretions of the gland helps in lubrication during intercourse.
When the duct of the gland gets blocked it will format cyst.
You better consult gynecologist and get examined to find out the exact cause.
As the cyst can form abscess when infected, so better to consult doctor early.
Take care.
