Large Bump On Lower Back. Sudden Loss Of Appetite And Weight. Can It Be A Cyst, Concerned?

My husband has a bump on his lower back underneith the skin that has grown larger recently. Could this just be a cyst or is there reason for conscern? He recently has had a subtle loss of appetite and has lost weight quite rapidly within the last few months. The bump is located toward the lower back to the left of his spine but not near it. He is forty years old.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
ur husband needs an evaluation, by dr.
it doesn`t look like a simple cyst !! as per the details mentioned by u.
since it`s a mass near his lower back, go to general surgeon 1st, if it`s not his case then he might refer u to ortho Dr.
get him evaluated at the earliest.
I find this answer helpful
