Knee Pain, White Spot Appears Below Knee Cap, Color Increases With Pain. Soccer Player. What Could It Be?

My daughter has had pain in her knee for two months. The pain is located below the knee cap on both sides. She is a very active soccer and basketball player and has not been able to play for two months due to immobility. When the pain is worse, a white spot appears below her knee cap. The more pain, the whiter it turns. What could this be?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

As per your history there can be injury to meniscus or ligament of your knee .I will advise to take rest ,ice fomentation ,knee support and anti-inflammatory.
If no improvement in symptoms then you can do MRI knee to look for pathology.
You may need some blood investigation.
Physiotherapy will help you in reducing pain .

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
